The colourful duckky now you are thinking is RIGHT

혹시 만다린덕이 뭔줄 아세요?

네 그거에요

지금 생각하시는 그 색깔 화려한 오리가 맞아요

They are called Yuan-yang in Chinese

Unlike any other ducks,

both male and female mandarin ducks take care of their ducklings together

In the eye of ancient Chinese, they seem as a life long couple

so these ducks are considered as a symbol of lovers of fidelity

중국어로는 유엔양(원앙)이라고 불려요

다른 오리들과는 달리,

원앙오리들은 엄마 아빠 오리들이 새끼들을 함께 돌보죠

옛날 중국 사람들의 눈에 원앙오리들은 평생을 함께하는 부부로 보였어요

그래서 원앙오리들이 신실한 연인들의 상징으로 생각되었죠

Today I went Mandarin Duck Pond of Jiuchong Hu

 오늘 조총후의 원앙오리연못에 갔어요

This is the pond

The reason why this pond is called mandarin pond is not because there are ducks in this pond

It is because this pond is mandarin duck shaped

이게 그 연못이에요

이 연못이 원앙 오리 연못이라고 불리는 이유는 오리가 살기 때문이 아니에요

이 연못이 원앙 오리 모양이기 때문이죠

But, I couldn't really see how this pond has the duck shape

Should I see from the sky?

그치만 진짜로 이 연못이 오리 모양인지는 잘 모르겠어요

하늘에서 봐야만 하나?

Just like any farms in Jiuchong Hu, here is a restaurant too

so you can have a meal or drink tea here

Entrance fee is free

조총후의 다른 농장들처럼 여기에도 식당이 있어요

그러니까 식사를 하시거나 차를 드실 수 있어요

입장료는 공짜구요

Just right beside mandarin duck pond,

there is this entrance to trekking course
